The Purpose

This began when I bought my first bar of handmade soap from a farmers market. I was pleased with my new locally made soap. And so was my husband who raved about the quality. That bar didn't last very long. I knew I had to buy in bulk from a local vendor or make it myself. I truly thought "how hard could it be?"

I was humbled quickly as I learned the many nuances of soapmaking. Some soap seized in the pot, some came out smelling funky, much of it though came out quite beautifully. 

This is a science and an art. I am learning everyday. There is beauty in the process.

Our Purpose is to create an alternative to factory produced soap. Buy from me or from another small business owner. Or maybe you will take the dive and learn how to make soap. Trial and Error. There is beauty in the process.
